In this paper, first inspired by the Aristotelian categories to the theoretical and practical sciences, humanities are divided two categories theoretical (descriptive) and practical (application / values). Theoretical humanities, are seeking to identify and describe fields in the realm of individual, social, objective and human recognition. But, the practical sciences, seek to provide systematic propositions in order to regulate human behavior in the numerous fields.
In this article based on the philosophical analysis of intentional human behavior, we analyze the fundamental role of objective in the humanities. According to the Islamic philosophy human in his voluntary behavior, "is acting with intent". This type of behavior has always done in order to achieve goal, means that the ideal of doer is to achieve a specific purpose. Because, this objective is not achieved without carrying out that special work, aspiring to achieve objective (ultimate cause), lead to act so. Thus the value of intentional human action associated with its objective value. Accordingly, foundation of humanities trace back to the ultimate objective of human existence as well as the intermediate targets consistent with this ultimate objective that can be considered in performing voluntary acts, But obviously drawing this objectives, needs to true cognition of human existence. If do not know human truth, could not know what a human should be. Anthropology as a philosophical discussion requires ontological and epistemological foundations. The results of application humanities are based on descriptive humanities and themselves are based on philosophical anthropology, ontology and epistemology. For this reason in the restoration of current humanities propositions with the Islamic humanities sciences, must began with the foundations of these sciences.
